Vernon visits residents & staff of Braywood Gardens Care Home to

Vernon visited Braywood Gardens Care Home recently to listen to the views and concerns of staff and patients regarding Nottinghamshire County Council's plans to sell the home to the private sector.

One of the main concerns regarding the plans is that the new owners will only have to keep it as a care home for three years.

Residents made some requests which Vernon has passed to Councillor Kay Cutts, Leader of Nottinghamshire County Council. These are as follows;

- Residents would like to know the names of the companies who are interested in buying Braywood Gardens

- A resident representative should be involved in any meetings with potential buyers

Braywood Gardens is a fantastic care home where the residents are happy and the staff are hard working. It would be a travesty if a private company were to decide not to continue with Braywood Gardens as a Care Home after three years.
