MP on blindfolded walk with guide dog

GEDLING MP Vernon Coaker is to do a blindfolded walk with guide dogs to help raise awareness about the challenges faced by local people with sight loss.

Mr Coaker will walk along Mapperley Top on Monday and will meet guide dog owners living in the area to talk about some of the problem they face.

He said: "I'm looking forward to the challenge and, I must admit, rather daunted by the prospect of being blindfolded and dependent on the dog to guide me through.

"It's a busy shopping area and I'm sure there are many obstacles."
