Donating to Operation Christmas Child

All the hard work of the fantastic volunteers at Operation Christmas Child in Lenton has nearly paid off; Vernon popped in to drop off his shoe box as they were loading up the lorry to ship tomorrow morning.

Operation Christmas Child

The project is designed to send shoe-boxes full of small presents to underprivileged children throughout the world. The collection point for thousands of these boxes this year has been at the old MFI site in Lenton, Nottingham, where many volunteers have been tirelessly working for weeks to pack up the boxes ready for shipment.

This year, the 21st year of the operation, around 8,000 boxes from this centre in Lenton alone will be sent off to children in Swaziland.
